And
he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace, and be
healed of your disease.” Mark 5:34 (ESV)
Our
daily lives most of the times drive us far from what we are called to do. God
is giving us an everyday purpose to live but most of the time we neglect to
understand and stand on it.
It’s
hard to practice faith when we don’t see the real picture, when things don’t go
on what we expect.
Every
afternoon I need to go out from office to go home to nurse my baby, he is 2
months old now and his feeding grows more. Sometimes there are things beyond my
expectations. I needed a daily transport to drop me home but one time the driver
dropped me late and I needed to walk far from our building, summer here in
Bahrain everyone can feel the heat. I was inside the car and thinking to catch
the time because we have doctor’s appointment at 4.30pm for my baby’s vaccine.
My mind is telling me to yell at the situation and I was starting to loss my
temper. Thank God he dropped me earlier and we were able to catch the doctor’s
appointment. My faith told me to believe that moment that we can reach before
the time and we did.
Faith
should go beyond our daily experiences. Our daily communications and
interactions with other people will even call us to practice faith. Even if I have faith but loss my temper due
to interruptions of traffic and other unnecessary concerns I should have gone
with arguments with the driver. But I hold myself and practice the patience to
understand that he is also concern to bring me home safe and before the time I
told him. If we end up with questions “why” then my day should have ended stressful
and sad knowing that I failed to follow God’s word to maintain peace with
everyone.
Faith
knows that after all the daily routine and hard tasks you have time to sit
down, relax and laugh with your family and friends. Faith involves peace,
healing and wellness.
Today,
I choose to practice faith in my relationship and work. Daily I need to mention
my prayers in order to stand and carry out my responsibilities as a wife, a
mother, a daughter, a friend and an employee. Nothing seems to be easy but when
God is beside me I know I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
When
we practice meditating the word of God, our thoughts will not wander and it
will keep us calm and be composed.

Patience is a virtue that needs to be cultivated in life. A stone or a word, once released; cannot be taken back. Always better to hold onto one's patience to make a difference in this world.
